Match the post precisely to your brand colour. Digital printing on the tube from a single unit, or RAL powder coating for larger projects.

Standard finishes in stock

Any colour from the very first unit

We apply colour to the steel tube using digital printing and a protective laminate. No spray booth and no minimum production run: any Pantone, RAL or corporate colour can be produced from a single unit.

The finish is designed for continuous indoor use. The laminated layer protects the print from abrasion and light exposure, ensuring a uniform finish that can be reproduced consistently across repeat orders.

Production time: 15 business days from confirmation of the colour reference.

Traditional RAL powder coating

For projects of 50 units or more, we offer spray-booth powder coating in any RAL Classic or RAL Design reference. The coating is applied to the pre-treated steel body, creating a uniform, durable layer with excellent adhesion.

Recommended when a metallic finish, specific gloss level or particular texture is required. Contact us for availability and lead time for your selected reference.

About colours and finishes

Oven-cured powder coating: why it is the professional standard

All Dlimit posts are oven-cured using an industrial powder-coating process at 180 °C. We do not use conventional liquid paint, as it offers lower durability and can produce inconsistent finishes across large batches. The powder coating fuses onto the metal to form a continuous 60–80 micron film that withstands impacts, scratches, cleaning with industrial detergents and UV exposure for at least a decade without visible colour degradation.

We work with the complete RAL colour system, covering all three official ranges: Classic (213 standard and most commonly used colours), Design (1,625 intermediate colours for demanding interior design projects) and Effect (metallic and pearlescent finishes). For companies that define their corporate identity using Pantone, we match the Pantone reference to the nearest RAL colour with a Delta E tolerance below 2. For orders above 500 units, paint can be mixed at the factory to the exact Pantone reference.

Finish preferences vary clearly by sector. Retail and general corporate environments most commonly specify RAL 9005 (Jet Black), 9016 (Traffic White) and 7016 (Anthracite Grey). Hospitals and healthcare environments favour RAL 9016 (Traffic White) and RAL 7035 (Light Grey). Airports and public transport operators typically use their own corporate colours, often combined with a dark grey base. Museums and design-led hospitality projects tend to specify matte blacks (RAL 9005 in a matte finish) and deep greys (RAL 7021).

Before producing an order in a specific colour, we send a powder-coated aluminium strip as a physical sample. The customer can compare it with their Pantone guide or the other furniture and finishes used in the project. This validation prevents unexpected colour differences at final delivery and is part of our standard service for orders above 50 units.

Frequently asked questions

What customers ask us about colours

Which colour systems do you work with?

RAL (K7 Classic, Design and Effect), Pantone and NCS. RAL is our standard system; if you provide a Pantone reference, we either match it to the nearest RAL colour or mix a specific colour for larger orders.

Are matte and gloss colours the same?

Our standard finish is satin. Matte and gloss are available on request at no additional cost. Matte is the most frequently specified finish for museums and design-led hospitality projects.

How many posts do I need to order a specific RAL colour?

From 10 posts, we can powder-coat in any colour from the RAL range. Below this quantity, we offer our standard stock colours: black, white, grey and corporate red.

Is the powder coating suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. Oven-cured at 180 °C, with UV and corrosion resistance. Minimum expected outdoor service life is 10 years without visible colour degradation.

Can I request a physical sample before ordering?

Yes. We provide powder-coated aluminium strips in the selected RAL colour. Free of charge for confirmed orders; €30 for open enquiries.

Which colours are most frequently ordered for retail and hospitality?

Retail: RAL 9005 (Jet Black), 9016 (Traffic White), 7016 (Anthracite Grey). Hospitality: chrome, gold and satin matte black finishes.
