The post-and-rope system
Dclassic is the Dlimit range dedicated to the classic post-and-rope barrier: the traditional stanchion associated with theatres, casinos, premium hotel lobbies, red carpets and protocol events. Unlike retractable-belt ranges, the barrier between posts here is a braided textile rope with metal tips that clips on and off the post top by hand.
It is the recommended choice when brand image, institutional character or the need to convey prestige takes priority over the industrial language of belt stanchions. The rope adds a warm texture that a belt cannot deliver: velvet, twill, synthetic leather or braided cotton, with tips in polished brass, nickel, chrome or matt gold.
Variants and configurations
Three available bases: Basic (straight Ø45 mm post with spherical tip), Design (tapered profile with decorative ball) and Glamour (chrome or gold finish with classic decorated tip). All bases accept any rope model, letting you mix the economy format (Basic) for back-of-house with the premium format (Glamour) at the main entrance without breaking visual coherence.
Technical specifications
Ø45 mm steel upright, cast-iron base of 8 kg with decorative top cap, standard height 100 cm. Ropes available in 1.5 m, 2 m and 2.5 m lengths. Finishes in satin chrome, bright chrome, polished brass, antique brass, matt gold or custom RAL lacquer on request.
When to choose rope instead of belt
When the space is stable and traffic flows do not change daily (a theatre always has the same queue in the same place). When venue staff hook and unhook the ropes for each event. When the establishment's aesthetic code demands the language of the rope (5-star hotels, Michelin-starred restaurants, casinos, classic museums). For dynamic flows in airports or retail, we recommend the Dlimit or Dstandard ranges with retractable belt.
