Heavy-duty mechanisms
Dterminal is designed for environments where retractable barriers undergo thousands of operating cycles every day: airport check-in, border control, stadium entrances, hospital waiting areas, trade-fair ticket desks and boarding gates. While Dlimit and Dstandard cover general-purpose installations, Dterminal adds a reinforced mechanism with electronic braking, engineered to withstand more than 50,000 cycles without loss of belt tension.
At the heart of the collection is the Dterminal 360° mechanism: an anodised-aluminium housing with four independent belt receivers that rotates freely around the post. This eliminates a common issue with airport barriers, where operators need to turn the entire post to connect the next belt: the Dterminal head accepts the belt from any angle without repositioning the post.
Available variants
Four base variants are available: BASIC (entry-level version with a stable 9 kg base), STANDARD (best-selling version with a reinforced 12 kg base and belt up to 4 m), DUAL (5 m belt for large terminals), and MAX (one of the longest systems in the sector, with a belt up to 7 m for international passenger flows in hub airports). All variants share the same head system and can be combined with one another.
Technical specifications
Ø70 mm oven powder-coated steel tube, reinforced 12–15 kg base with non-slip rubber, height 1,000 mm. Reinforced polyester belt with electronic retention brake, 50 mm wide, available in standard black/red or custom CMYK from 50 units. Tested in a UV ageing chamber for 1,000 hours and impact-tested in accordance with EN 1610. Compatible with Dterminal accessories: A4/A3 sign holders, transport kit, wall-mounted base and Dterminal SH evacuation cone.
Reference installations
Dterminal is installed at Barcelona-El Prat Airport (T1 and T2), Madrid-Barajas (T4), Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport, Rome Fiumicino Airport and across the SNCF high-speed station network in France. In the cruise sector, it is used at terminals in the ports of Barcelona, Genoa and Civitavecchia. Its cost-to-durability ratio makes it a strong standard choice for public tenders.
