About wall elements

When to choose a wall element instead of a post

Wall-mounted elements are the alternative to a post when the start or end point of the barrier coincides with a wall, a column, a reception desk or any fixed vertical surface. The wall-mounted unit takes up zero floor space, blends into the architecture and allows for a more discreet installation.

We offer four main formats. The MUR BASIC is the standard wall unit with screw fixing, designed for solid brick or concrete walls. The MUR FIX is the reinforced wall unit with chemical anchoring, required when the wall is plasterboard, lightweight partition or any surface with lower load-bearing capacity. The MUR DUAL integrates two independent belts into a single unit, useful when a double boundary is required from a single point. And the MUR METAL is used in industrial environments or outdoor areas where the strength of the anchoring is critical.

The wall units share the same belt, the same head and the same self-retracting mechanism as the posts. This means that a combined installation (wall unit at the starting wall, posts along the route, end wall unit at the finishing wall) looks visually consistent and uses the same spare parts. It also means that customisation is identical: belt with your logo, RAL finish on the wall-mounted unit, top cover with brand imagery.

Standard belt lengths are 3 m and 3.7 m, although the MUR STANDARD series extends up to 5 m in specific models. For projects where the distance between walls is greater, we combine the wall-mounted unit with one or two intermediate posts. The modular design allows us to accommodate virtually any layout without the need for bespoke parts.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us about walls

When should you use a wall-mounted system instead of a floor-standing post?

When you have a fixed starting point (a wall, column or counter) and want to avoid a floor-mounted post. The wall-mounted system uses the same belt mechanism but is anchored to the wall, taking up less space.

What is the difference between MUR BASIC, MUR FIX and MUR DUAL?

MUR BASIC is the basic wall-mounted unit for screw fixing, with a standard profile. MUR FIX is a reinforced wall-mounted unit with chemical anchors for plasterboard walls or high loads. MUR DUAL integrates two independent belts into the same wall-mounted unit.

Can a wall unit be combined with a post?

Yes. Typical installation: wall bracket on the starting wall + track posts along the route + wall bracket on the end wall. All with belts in the same colour and customisation.

What is the maximum length of the belt from the wall mount?

Same as the posts: 3 m and 3.7 m as standard. Up to 5 m on MUR STANDARD wall brackets.

What wall materials are compatible with the wall-mounted unit?

Any solid wall (brick, concrete, plasterboard with chemical anchors). For plasterboard or lightweight partition walls, we recommend MUR FIX with specific anchors.

Are the wall-mounted models replaceable like the posts?

Yes. The belt and head are replaceable parts on all wall-mounted models.
