A retractable belt post is the most efficient tool for managing the flow of people. The retractable belt extends from the head smoothly, hooks onto the next post in milliseconds, and when released it retracts in a controlled way thanks to the positive braking. That mechanism —seemingly simple— is the difference between a professional system and a domestic one. Poor braking releases the belt at speed and may strike a user; a poor anchor unhooks it mid-queue.
Dlimit manufactures heads with positive braking certified for 200,000 cycles, a washable tensioned belt that keeps its colour after years of use, and an anti-rebound mechanism that prevents accidental disengagement. We offer four belt lengths (2 m, 3 m, 3.7 m and 5 m depending on family) and CMYK sublimation customisation is included from a single piece. All our families except Dline use retractable belt.

Which belt length should I choose?
It depends on the separation between posts you need. 2–3 m for short queues (receptions, retail). 3.7 m is the airport and large-retail standard. 5 m for terminals and maximum-traffic areas. If unsure, measure your usual post-to-post separation and choose the next length up.
How does positive braking work?
It is a mechanical braking system inside the head that prevents the belt from returning to its reel at speed. When you release the belt, it retracts smoothly and steadily. Without positive braking, the belt may strike the user or the adjacent post.
Can the belt be customised with my logo?
Yes, in CMYK by sublimation. From a single piece. Minimum 50 belts per design. We approve artwork before printing and send a digital proof to the client first.
How many cycles does the belt withstand?
The head is certified for 200,000 extension-retraction cycles. The reinforced polyester belt keeps colour and strength for over 5 years of intensive continuous use.
Is the belt compatible with other manufacturers' heads?
No. Each manufacturer uses proprietary anchors. Dlimit belts are interchangeable only between models in the same family (all Dlimit posts share an anchor, for example). If someone offers you a 'universal belt', be wary: it usually means poorly calibrated tension.
What happens if the belt breaks?
Only the belt or full reel is replaced, not the whole post. We supply spares for installations up to 15 years old. Replacement time: 3–5 working days for standard belt, 10–15 days for custom belt.
