Rope posts · When retractable belt doesn't fit
There are environments where a polyester belt with your CMYK logo is out of place: a museum gallery, a five-star hotel lobby, a contemporary art gallery, a wedding with premium catering. In those cases, the rope post solves two things at once: it defines the space without visual noise and brings the textile warmth that a retractable mechanism cannot provide. Dlimit manufactures the Dline family with exactly this use in mind.
The Dline post is minimalist by design: Ø2.5 cm steel tube, light 5 kg base, head with magnetic anchor to hook and unhook the rope without touching the tube. The rope is textile-grade elastic, available in lengths of 1.5 m, 2 m and 3 m, and in five standard finishes (black, white, burgundy, navy blue, beige). Custom rope length and colour available on request. Post finishes: polished brass, matte silver, matte black or specific RAL coating (minimum 20 units for custom RAL).

What clients ask before buying
What is the difference between elastic rope and rigid rope?
Elastic rope has an internal tensioner that adapts to small variations in distance between posts. Rigid rope is fixed-length braided cord. For museums and events we choose elastic (visually cleaner). For structural barriers, rigid.
What rope lengths do you offer?
Standard: 1.5 m, 2 m and 3 m. On request: any length between 1 m and 4 m. If your usual post-to-post separation is 2.5 m, we'll supply 2.5 m rope without issue.
Can I combine retractable belt and rope posts?
Yes, in the same installation or even alternating them. The Dline family fits with most Dlimit and Dstandard heads if you need part of the queue with rope and part with retractable belt.
What finishes do you offer for the posts?
Standard: matte silver, matte black, polished brass. On request: specific RAL coating (minimum 20 units per colour), chrome-plated, nickel-plated, aged brass.
Do Dline posts withstand intensive use?
They are designed for continuous use in museum and luxury hospitality areas, not for daily mass events. For high-traffic with rope we recommend the Dclassic family with reinforced base.
Can the rope be customised?
Yes, in custom colour (minimum 50 units per colour) and with embroidery or custom labels on the end caps. Lead time 15–20 working days.
