Retractable Belt Barriers for Stations

Metro, rail, tram and bus networks. Heavy-duty barriers for intensive use, custom-branded belts and stable bases designed for the constant flow of passengers and luggage.

Sector

Dlimit™ for stations

Stations are every bit as demanding as airports, but usually allow even less time for maintenance. A barrier may need to operate 18 hours a day, every day of the year, withstand repeated knocks from luggage and trolleys, and still look presentable years later. Dlimit™ barriers are installed across rail and public-transport environments, including SNCF and Renfe networks, European tram systems and long-distance bus terminals.

Our transport models combine reinforced mechanisms for high-frequency use, heavy bases that remain stable under constant passenger traffic, and belts matched to each operator’s corporate colours.

Recommended products
Metro and tram
High traffic,
low maintenance
Mechanisms certified for 200,000 cycles. Designed to retain reliable belt tension and retraction performance through years of intensive use.
Railway stations
Ticket offices
and platform access
FIX bases provide a permanent solution at key access points, with belts matched to Renfe, SNCF, Deutsche Bahn or any other operator’s brand colours. Lead time: 10–15 days for custom-printed belts.
Bus terminals
Heavy-duty stability
in exposed areas
MAX cast-iron bases provide extra stability on platforms exposed to wind and weather. Oven-cured powder-coated finishes withstand changing temperatures and demanding outdoor conditions.
Reference installations

SNCF and Renfe networks, European metro operators, tram systems in Barcelona and Paris, and long-distance bus terminals.

Frequently asked questions

What public-transport operators ask us before ordering

How many cycles can the mechanism withstand in intensive metro use?

200,000 certified cycles. Under typical metro conditions, this equates to approximately 5–7 years of service before the mechanism needs replacing.

Can you print the operator’s logo on the belt?

Yes. We use CMYK sublimation with accurate Pantone colour matching and already supply public-transport operators in several European countries.

Can the barriers be used on exposed outdoor platforms?

Yes. Our oven-cured powder coating is UV- and corrosion-resistant. For coastal or particularly harsh environments, we recommend AISI 316 stainless steel.

Can the barriers be bolted to the station floor?

Yes. The FIX base is secured at three anchoring points. We can supply dedicated fixings for granite or marble flooring.

Do you offer height-restriction barriers?

Yes. The Dterminal range includes the GALIBO model, featuring a horizontal bar at 1.5 m to indicate maximum access height.

How quickly can you supply an urgent replacement?

Replacement belts and mechanisms held in stock can be delivered in 3–5 days. Complete projects with custom-printed belts typically take 10–15 days.
