Belt stanchions for museums
Delimiting without competing with the artwork. Posts in dark matt finishes, belts in neutral tones and silent bases designed for art galleries, contemporary art museums and exhibition spaces.
Dlimit™ for museums
A museum needs to protect the artwork and guide visitors without the barrier system taking centre stage. The solution is not to use fewer posts, but to use the right ones. At Dlimit™, we design specific ranges for museums with matt finishes in black, taupe and charcoal, anti-reflective belts and bases without shiny edges that might attract attention.
We work with national museums, private art galleries and temporary exhibition spaces across Europe. For travelling exhibitions, we offer lightweight posts with removable bases that allow the exhibition to be set up and taken down without damaging the gallery floors.

What customers in the sector ask us before buying
Do you have posts that do not reflect light in the galleries?
Yes. The matt finish in black, taupe or anthracite reduces glare from museum lighting. It is our most popular finish for art galleries.
Can the belt be very discreet, almost invisible?
Yes. In addition to the standard catalogue, we offer belts in pearl grey, taupe and matt black specifically for cultural environments.
Do they comply with accessibility regulations?
Yes. The wide base of LIMIT and ECO is detectable by a white cane, and the 90 cm-wide belt complies with the DDA. We can provide a DDA certificate on request.
Can I set up and take down the display for temporary exhibitions?
Yes. The UNFIX base is secured to the floor with a screw and can be removed without leaving a mark. It is the most commonly used solution in temporary exhibition spaces.
How do you handle replacements in museums where the system has been in use for many years?
All collections are modular. Heads, belts and bases are replaceable parts. We can supply replacements for posts installed over a decade ago.
Do you produce belts with the name of the museum or exhibition?
Yes. Full sublimation printing, minimum order of 50 belts. Many museums request specific belts for each temporary exhibition.
